Forty three students accompanied by five faculty members of Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme of Dr IT Institute of Management Banur recently toured the factory of Swaraj Mazda near Ropar. The objective of the visit was to acquaint them with the organizational mission, set up, field and plant operation, products and marketing etc.

The students were divided into three groups and all the groups were guided throughout the plant by different company personnel’s. The students got a chance to see various industrial processes like assembling, testing, painting washing and final testing. Students got familiar with various cost techniques of cost cutting, ergonomic, time management, quality Improvement, technology competitiveness and the future prospects of the company. The students tried to co-relate their theoretical knowledge with the practical aspects they encountered. The Key personals who were behind this Visit are Prof P Parkash Arya the Managing Director, Mrs. Deepti Batra, CEO of Dr IT group of Institutes and Mr Ashok Verma (director finance Swaraj Mazda)..Company is providing employment to 450 people at present. Such industrial visits are a mandatory and important module of the programme, and more are planned to other companies to expose the students to various other industries and the Industry atmosphere.
