Dr. I.T. Institute of Management & Technology organized an industrial tour for the students of under-graduation courses at HMT, Pinjore. The purpose of this visit was to build industry academics interface which will help students to fill their theoretical gaps by making them familiar with industrial environment. Another reason was to encourage students to develop a sense of logical reasoning behind various operations performed within the industrial units. HMT was established in 1963 and is one of the oldest PSU in the country. In that era, its foundry was Asia’s Number One. It manufactures nearly 6500 Tractors per annum by using CNC Machine technology. The students visited Foundry Engine & Gear Box manufacturing sections, assembly line, Paint shop & CNC section. Mr. Nirmal Sood, Machine shop guide accompanied students to all sections & demonstrated the working of various machines. Mr. Jujhar Singh System Engineer handled software & I.T. related queries of the students
