Dr IT Group of Institutes organized its 3rd National Level Conference and Business Summit on �Value Based Organization�. The seminar was inaugurated by Mr M K Mahajan, Chairman of the Institute, Ms Deepti Batra, CEO of the Institute while welcoming the delegates, stated that the motive of starting this institution was to provide Quality Education. She said that the aim is to give the students the best values.
Dr Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar said that in 2010 fifty new colleges will be opened in Engineering and Management field. He said that we will work together with the foreign universities as a joint effort but by improving Quality of Education in our own institutes we shall not allow these universities to exploit the students of Punjab. He advised the organizations to be considering more of Human Values rather than quarterly financial figures and treat financial performance as an end in itself. He emphasized financial, technological and moral soundness for the survival of organizations.
Prof P Parkash Arya, Managing Director of the Institute said that whole world is surviving because of the contribution of several organizations and, organizations can survive only if they follow the values. The past history has also shown that the organizations which follow values have long term sustainability and growth. Organizations which follow unethical practices have been liquidated. He also said that educational organizations are to act as the role model for others where there should be no scope of corruption.
P.K Verma, Director, HR Alchemist and former HR Head PTL lamented the organizations using highly toxic materials polluting the environment. He further elaborated his view by the unethical practices followed by Enron, Lehman Brothers & Goldman Sach which led to their failure. He wanted organizations to have living breathing culture on shared core values.
Mr. Pallav Sinha, CEO, MD, Fullerton Securities emphasized on aligning individual values to the organizational values and gave examples of Corporates like Johnson & Johnson and British Petroleum Corporation, where they rigrously followed value system and grew very fast.
Mr. Ashok Khanna, Renowned Industrialist of Khanna Watches said that values are important and need to be inculcated from childhood. He emphasized the need for following the spiritual way to inculcate values in organization. Corporate World and Spiritual World are contemporaries.
Mr Naresh Nagpal, Director Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training wanted values of Mahatma Ghandi i.e. Non- Violence and Patience to be inculcated in practical life. If individuals values are developed organizational values will soon develop.
Prof B S Ghumman, Dean Faculty of Arts and Prof Suresh Chadha of UBS of Panjab University Chaired the Technical sessions.
